Global Network for Blood Donation (GNBD)   Annual Meeting Minutes

June 2, 2014

Proxy for voting:  B.J. Smith received a voting proxy from the following Director’s in advance of the annual meeting: Merlyn Sayers, Jean-Claude Brocart, Joe Ridley, Cees Smit Sibinga and Ravi Langer, Daniel Long had a proxy from Hassan Adelakun.

Directors in Attendance at Sydney Olympic Park:   B.J. Smith, Daniel Long and Marco Kappenberger

Agenda and Discussion:

  1. The group discussed the convention lessons learned. It was agreed that B.J. would research reusable booth graphics similar to those used by other exhibitors.
  2. The group discussed the importance of getting the support of District Governors. Strategies to get more DG and PDG involvement were discussed.
  3. Elections were held for the term of July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2016. The following Directors were elected as officers of the GNBD:
